Jim Holtzman
Jim brings more than 21 years of entrepreneurial financial and operational experience to Fieldglass. This includes senior management roles in Finance, Operations and Marketing in a variety of successful early stage businesses including iPhotonics, Inc. in Maryland, as well as MFS Communications and Cognitive Concepts, Inc. in the Chicago area. Jim’s career has resulted in experiences in many sectors including software, outsourcing, manufacturing, procurement and telecommunications. This background has given him a unique insight into the challenges that Fieldglass’ customers face in growing their businesses across multiple industries. It has further provided important skills to help cope with the difficulties of maneuvering a rapidly growing software company through a challenging marketplace.

During the early part of his career, Jim’s efforts were focused in the capital markets, banking and leveraged lending sectors. His roles included lending and advisory responsibilities within regional and international organizations that provided needed capital to mid-sized businesses across the country. As one of the founding members of Household Commercial’s leveraged lending unit in Chicago, Jim helped grow their portfolio of loans, primarily provided for small and midsized businesses, to over $2 billion of outstanding assets.

Jim holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from Indiana University at Bloomington, as well as a secondary concentration in Chemistry.
