As Vice President of Business Development, Michael Barney is responsible for Fieldglass' strategic alliances on a global basis. In this role he leverages more than twenty years of enterprise software and systems sales, channel and management experience, including experience as a contributing management team member for several successful start-up businesses.

Prior to joining Fieldglass, he served as the Vice President of Business Development for IQNavigator. Previously, he was the Vice President of Carrier Sales at Terabeam, a $550 million start-up company and supplier of wireless fiber technologies for the telecommunications industry. Additionally, Barney held leadership positions as the Vice President of Sales at HighGround Systems, a pioneer in the Storage Resource Management market that was acquired by Sun Microsystems, and NetFrame Systems, a provider of enterprise servers that was acquired by Micron. He also held various sales and management roles at IBM.

Barney holds a Bachelors of Science Degree from Purdue University in Construction Management.
