Fall Release of Fieldglass InSite Eases Management of Complex Human Capital Acquisition Programs
Fieldglass Further Improves Its Solution with Intuitive Functionality to Ease Use and Save Time
Chicago—September 22, 2008—Fieldglass, Inc., provider of the leading unified platform for acquiring contingent workers, service providers and direct hires, today announced a successful customer upgrade to an enhanced version of its award-winning InSite software-as-a-service product suite. Fieldglass customers gain immediate access to significant enhancements and improved custom field functionality.
In addition to the rich variety of custom fields already accessible, customers can now validate against regular expression patterns. This custom field pattern validation feature allows customers to develop validation rules enforcing specific text and numerical patterns and ranges, as well as much more sophisticated patterns. As a simple example, a custom field could enforce an email address by checking for an ‘@’ symbol and valid domain name format.
Organizations can also tailor application behavior through custom field scripts. A script can be applied after data entry for more complex validation logic, such as validating the results of a field based on the values of another field. For example, if a time sheet was over a certain number of hours, a custom field can require a justification code.
A script can also access external systems for additional validation. Customers can pull data from an external purchase order system, for example, and populate the custom field with a purchase order number. Additionally, custom field scripts can be used to derive or populate values.
The new and enhanced custom field functionality allows customers flexibility while still enforcing rigid rules necessary to ensure the data is accurate and compliant.
The Fall release of InSite also features a number of enhancements in the reporting, work flow and the direct hire functionality.
“We continue to improve InSite based on how our customers currently use the solution, trends in human capital acquisition and what we anticipate will be most useful in the future,” said Sean Chou, CTO, Fieldglass. “It remains our goal to not only meet but exceed the needs of our customers, and the new functionality in InSite has been greeted with enthusiasm.”
