Fieldglass Ranked First in Vendor Management System (VMS) for Fourth Consecutive Year

Innovative Technology and Global Expertise Widens Gap Between Fieldglass and Other Providers

Chicago - January 1, 2012

SAP Fieldglass, the leading technology provider to procure and manage contingent labor and services, leads the industry in annual flexible workforce spend under management and global scope, according to Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) 2012 VMS and MSP Competitive Landscape Report.

VMS Spend Leader for Fourth Consecutive Year

SIA reported Fieldglass’ overall spend under management in 2011 was $21.5 billion, accounting for more than 20 percent of the total market VMS spend. Fieldglass ranked highest in both temporary/contract labor and Statement of Work (SOW) annual spend, with $13.6 billion and $6 billion, respectively.

The SIA report revealed a sizeable uptick in the inclusion of SOW spend under VMS management, growing by 20-30 percent in 2011. Fieldglass’ SOW growth outpaced this trend due to significant client adoption, including the implementation of the industry’s largest SOW program of nearly 13,000 workers.

“The research uncovered an increasing need for VMS providers to perform to higher standards and meet more complex requirements, driven by the increasingly mature management of flexible labor,” said Sean Chou, CTO, Fieldglass. “This trend is reflected in the work our development team has put into our technology, including significant advancements to help manage SOW services.”

Widest Global Presence

According to the SIA report, Fieldglass has more customers than any VMS provider in four regions: US/Canada, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Middle East/Africa. In addition, the company has deployed more than double the number of customer programs from its nearest competitor in several countries, including Australia, Belgium, Germany and Ireland. These programs span a wide range of sizes, levels of complexity and unique region-specific needs.

A total of 25 VMS suppliers provided information for the report, representing $91.9 billion in annual spend. Now in its seventh year, SIA’s Landscape Report is the industry’s most comprehensive research on the services procurement industry.
